Tattoo Time!

Today I got my very first tattoo! 

I got it done in Tattoo Zoo in Cork City by a guy called Chris.. Or Con.. Uh.. So bad with names!! 

I got 2 paw prints! One is of a dogs paw and the other of a cat. 

I choose that for my dog and cat who both passed in the last 7 months. They were both childhood pets of mine. Both were 12 years old. 

So much has happened in the last year! Having Rían and loosing both of my childhood pets (best friends) makes it feel as if I've had to grow up so fast! I've nothing left that I had a year ago! But I don't regret any of it. Of course I was distraught when Buster (my dog) went cause I was 9 months pregnant and had always pictured him meeting Rían! He was such a gentle loving dog I knew he would have been fond of Rían! Ugh I'm going to cry!!...

Anyway about 8 weeks ago Tibby my cat had to be put to sleep because he had cancer all over his body! He had been poorly for about a year and went through a few surgeries but it had spread too much and he eventually stopped eating. 

I was always a big cat person and adored tibby throughout my life! There was never a day went by without giving him a cuddle! 

It was such an end of an era when both passed so close to each other. 

I only hope they are together up in animal heaven ignoring each other like before :-)

A lot of my family don't seem to find of it! But I don't care! Tattoos are such a personal thing I don't think anyone can comment on what you find appropriate to put on your body! They arnt great tattoo lovers as it is and don't even understand the feelings behind it! 

I would definitely get another one and I plan to get one on my opposite arm to cover up some scars! 

I was unsure if it would be possible for me to tattoo over my scars but I asked the tattoo artist today and he said they were very old and faded and would be great for covering over! So I must get thinking about that one, cause it will be much bigger than the one I just got! :-)
