95% of houses up for rent will not accept rent allowance.
Rent allowance is a payment from the government given to, and only to, people means tested.
People with basically no income or enough savings.
Not everyone on the dole will get rent allowance.. Far from it.

So lately I have been thinking more about moving out of home.. For many reasons.. Like my mother driving me mad.. And the fact I just need to get on with my life in general! But it's not that easy!! Obviously I cant afford rent by myself.. No way could I.. I would be left with about 200euro a month to live on.. with a baby.. Dont think so!! So, because of this, I would be on rent allowance.. An allowance I'm intitled to from the government to help out with my rent costs! I think they pay about 2/3 of the cost! depends on your situation, how many children you have etc... BUT.. Nearly every house up for rent has ''no rent allowance'' just casually thrown in at the end.. All except for the nearly inhabitable few.. Yock..
I mean, I'm not a slob? I'm a tidy person. I'm polite and quiet and respectful of where I live.. It's how I was brought up. You would still get your money at the end of each month? What's the big problem?
Just because I dont have much money? People with money can be awful too.. People with money arnt any better at living in your house than I am?
I dont get it. It's discrimination and it shouldnt matter how you get your rent money, you should just take it.
I'm a single mother with a very quiet, pleasant baby in a small town.. I'm not a single mother with 5 unruley, disrespectful children and 5 different varieties of animals..
SO ANNOYING. I shouldnt have to live in a run-down shack just because I need financial help.
